An age old tradition of Nagar-Vadhu dancing on this funeral ground.

Banaras' Manikarnika Ghat is a ground where time seems to stand still, and the difference between the living and the dead is at its thinnest. Here the gentle flow of the holy Ganges River, rituals and traditions have been performed for centuries. The lighting of funeral pyres, the offering of prayers, and the immersion of ashes - each act on this ghat is mixed with the emotions of love, loss, and longing. For those who come to this ghat seeking a glimpse of something eternal and profound, the Manikarnika Ghat offers a doorway to moksha, a chance to break free from the cycle of birth and death and attain everlasting peace.

"Stolen Lives": The Gut-wrenching truth about the trafficking of woman"

It was a hot summer afternoon, I was in my grandparents place watching 'Savdhan India' along with my grandfather. I am usually restricted by my father on watching episodes of 'Savdhan India' and 'crime petrol' etc.. because he had this sense of insecurity that I might end up cultivating harsh Mindset. But that afternoon I dived deep with my thoughts and the episode left me thinking about my existence as a 'Girl'.

The harsh reality of Drug Addiction: Don't let that be your story

As a teenager, I'm well aware that our generation is facing a unique set of challenges and One of the most concerning issues is the belief amongst our peers that "having drugs is cool". This mentality is not just only dangerous, but it can also have lasting consequences on our lives, our health, physical ,relation and overall well being .The idea that having 'drugs is cool' is perpetuated by multiple factors which includes peer pressure, media influence, and lack of awareness about the dangers of drug use and many others. Many young people see drug use as a way to rebel against authority or fit in with a certain group of friends. In some cases, they may also be influenced by the glamorization of drugs in popular culture, such as in music, movies, and TV shows. According to NDTV report,13%of drug users are less than 20 years of age.

How one person can prevent abortion from becoming a social problem in India?

Abortion is a sensitive subject that has been the focus of many debates in the past. It is a topic that is often discussed with a sense of urgency, but it is also one that is often misunderstood. In this blog post, we will be looking at how an individual can save India from the impact of abortion as a social issue. India is one of the most populous countries in the world, and abortion is a topic that is often debated and discussed. Abortion is a social issue that is often seen as a way to solve a problem, but it is also one that has a lot of potential consequences. it is an issue that has divided people into two distinct camps: those who are pro-choice and those who are pro-life. The pro-choice camp believes that a woman should have the right to choose whether or not to terminate a pregnancy, while the pro-life camp believes that abortion is morally wrong and should be illegal. The debate over abortion is complex and multifaceted, and it touches on a wide range of issues, including religious beliefs, ethical considerations, and legal rights. On the religious front, many people believe that life begins at conception and that abortion is tantamount to murder. On the ethical front, some people argue that abortion is a form of murder and that it is wrong to take a life, while others argue that it is a woman’s right to choose what to do with her body. Today We will also discuss the moral implications of abortion, and how they are impacting society as a whole. Finally, we will explore the legal implications of abortion, and how they are impacting both the provider and the patient. By the end of this post, you will have a better understanding of the social and legal impact of abortion, and will be able to make an informed decision about whether or not you believe it should be allowed under any circumstances.

What college student needs to know about bullying's various face ?

Bullying is sometimes thought of as a childhood issue that children eventually outgrow. In fact, the majority of parents believe that once their children graduate from high school, they will no longer have to deal with bullying. Bullies, however, are apparently becoming more prevalent and are even making their way onto college campuses, according to recent research. Bullies are also a problem in the workplace. Bullying is a problem that individuals of all ages need to be prepared to deal with. Many college students must deal with bullying without the support of family and friends, unlike bullying in middle school and high school. The prevalence of bullying on college campuses is high, with 60% of students reporting having seen a peer bully another student and roughly 25% reporting having been bullied themselves. Therefore, if you are a student, it is necessary that you understand and get prepared to cope with it.

Why it matters to act as a social activist on a personal level?

Maybe by reading above head lines , the first thing that came to your mind would probably be about poverty, racism, equality or even LGBTQ. These themes are very  well-known and somewhat have cliche feels to them,Ever since I have started reading Amrita Pritam,an Indian novelist, 'When to the tip of this tongue of flesh, some word comes, it kills itself. If saved from killing itself, it descends to the paper where a murder happens', my approach towards social challenges have changed. I choose to write about them, not necessarily to raise awareness but instead to show how sensitive it can be.
